The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued the Uniform Guidance on December 26, 2013, which streamlines the Federal government’s guidance on Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal awards. The Uniform Guidance combines eight previously separate sets of OMB guidance into one, thus eliminating overlapping, duplicative, and conflicting requirements on grantee institutions. This session provides an overview of the changes included in the final guidance.

The Department of Energy will be speaking about the Uniform Financial Assistance Regulations (2 CFR Part 200) and the benefit of having Government-wide Uniform Guidance while highlighting some of the important features of the Uniform Guidance.
